Jobs for peace: our demand for agencies that end youth restiveness
We call on the federal government to answer youth restiveness with new federal job-creating agencies.

We call on the federal government to create new federal agencies as a deliberate, institutional answer to youth restiveness in this country.
Young Nigerians do not need lectures about patience; they need work, skills, and a credible path into the economy. Restiveness is the symptom. Idleness is the disease, and only structured, large-scale job creation cures it. Ad hoc programmes that come and go with every administration cannot carry the weight of a generation.
That is why our demand is specific: standing federal agencies with the mandate, funding, and permanence to absorb young people into productive work — year after year, regardless of who holds office. Institutions outlast slogans.
We will continue to press this demand until it is answered. A country that finds work for its youth finds peace for itself.
